Reflection on Skills Development
Throughout my academic and internship experiences, I have developed a versatile set of skills that support my growth as an environmental science professional. Conducting research and documenting findings has strengthened my analytical abilities, while grant writing and funding research have honed my capacity to support sustainability projects financially. I have also learned to design and implement programs that promote sustainable practices, from community gardens to educational campaigns. Engaging with diverse audiences through outreach and educational content creation has improved my communication skills, and tools like Canva, GIS software, and Excel allow me to present information clearly and professionally. Together, these skills enable me to combine research, design, and outreach effectively, equipping me to contribute meaningfully to projects that advance environmental sustainability.
